A Very Warm Welcome Awaits

This is a gem of a pub. The staff, service and food were superb. We ate in the garden with cleverly angled brolly to shade from the early evening sun. Both the starter and mains were delicious, plentiful and great value. We skipped pudding on this occasion but will return for sure. It was a great atmosphere Five Bells team, thank you!

Good value pub food with decent local beers. A no-frills pub in a quiet village location.

Had fab meal this evening Steak / chips etc followed by Raspberry / Hazelnut roulade ! All lovely ! Very friendly ! Thank you. 🤩

Really good food, we were staying nearby and ate here two nights in a row. The Sunday roast was particularly good, and as for the homemade puddings - to die for! Our whole party really liked it here.

Came here as a family of 8 twice during our holiday and the food was great both nights. Portion sizes were generous, the 2 kids were very happy and everyone felt as though they got value for money. Would definitely recommend.

So grateful that a table for two was available Easter Saturday, by the fire which was lovely. Great atmosphere and you can tell that it is a locals favourite which is awesome to see in a small village pub. Food was lush too, proper prawns in the prawn cocktail and the pie filling was amazing in the steak and ale (didn’t try the other one so can’t comment). Topped it off with a cheesecake which was equally awesome. They seem to be very dog friendly, as well as accommodating families with children. Seemed to be good value for money and we will be visiting again for sure. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Just popped in on Easter Sunday with the wife, and they accommodated our 8 week old and big Labrador without questions. The roast was delicious, and well priced. The desserts that we indulged in were lovely. The cider I had, cold, and crisp. The staff were friendly and we had a wonderful time.

Lovely pub situated in picturesque West Dorset. We had Sunday Roasts, with were well portioned with excellent roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and generous gravy serving with an addition gravy boat for the table. Good menu for vegetarians too. Great home cooked food, and friendly staff.

Excellent Sunday roast and service

We went there for a Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Locally sourced meat with a great selection of vegetables - good portion sizes and priced fairly. Lovely village pub atmosphere with a rustic feel and friendly staff.

Bit disappointed as they had run out of beef but the pork was amazing so got over it quickly. Selection of veg was great,loads of gravy. Lovely pub, sat by the fire, would recommend and definitely go again. If had to be critical plates could be bigger but wasn't an issue as veg sat bowls until made room.

Came here a few weeks ago with my young children and husband. Lovely atmosphere and great friendly people. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. My husband and I both had the steak and Stilton pies, they were incredible. They were the best pies we’ve ever had, full of meat with a crispy top. I would highly recommend and give a 11/10 if I could!!
